Hi I’m Brittany, a woman after God’s own heart and the creator of this blog. While I grew up in a Christian home with wonderful parents and siblings, it wasn’t until I was older that I came to have a more personal and intimate relationship with God. In my path to seeking Him out, I began to feel different … like I wanted something better for myself. As I grew in God, I started living life by a standard greater than the one the world offered me. I stopped believing that I knew it all and instead, tried trusting God in all things. Since then, I have changed for the better and my faith has grown exponentially.

I recognize and identify with the struggles and worldly demands placed on single women trying to live for God, and the Set Apart Woman blog was birthed in a desire to connect with my counterparts in Christ. My intent is to share with and reach out to those who desire to grow in their personal relationships with God and become Proverbs 31 women in every aspect of their lives. 

To be set apart means to be set aside or reserved for a specific use, and in this case, God’s use. This blog is for those who want to live a life completely set apart, in a way that pleases God: set apart for your future husband, for the calling on your life, etc. This platform gives a voice to those who want to do life on God’s terms without the world’s influence on our relationships, family and life.

Single, married or in between, my hope is that by sharing the ups and downs in my walk with God, you’ll be encouraged and find optimism and inspiration to guide you on your journey to living a set apart life.
